The majority of rare Earth elements, minerals, and metals that sustain our modern civilizations are hoarded by China, which has threatened the rest of the democratic world with extortion until a meteor hits an island. The discovery of its radioactive contents, when combined with a few critical materials from Earth, reveals an entirely new substance that is more versatile than any other substance known and threatens to upend China’s hold on its rare Earth monopoly if they learn of it. Two government agents, one MI6 and the other CIA are tasked to ensure the contents of the meteor remain in free hands and prevent the attempt by criminals to profit from the find by selling to the highest bidder before China can intercede.
